T E N N I S   C O A C H ' S   C O R N E R: Four T's Of Warm Up
Start at the mid-service box with a continental grip. Apply a relaxed "Tension"
(T1) level to your grip. Keeping your hands in front of your hips, tap the ball back and forth with a bounce (No volleys).

When you have achieved a rally begin to move your "Toes" (T2) through the tap then return to your start position. Next, begin a volley rally and say the word "Touch (T3) when contact is made. Now add a "Target" (T4).

Exercise two, volley to forehand volley.

Why?
"Tension" level enhances feel for the ball, which speeds up muscle memory and consistency. "Toes" - Tennis is a movement sport. Start using momentum to generate pace not muscle when inside the service line. "Touch" - The physical act of saying touch will help you exhale on contact. Mentally it will help you focus on the ball better. "Target" - Every shot needs to have a purpose.

*NOTE: A proper warm-up can help you perform better in your match.
